Your adventure begins with either a scenic morning flight over rural Tanzania or a road transfer through charming countryside and traditional villages. On arrival at Mikumi’s park gate or airstrip, your safari guide will meet you and transfer you to your lodge or camp. After a welcome briefing and a freshly prepared lunch, there’s time to relax before heading out for your first game drive in the late afternoon. The golden light of the setting sun casts a magical glow over the plains, often revealing elephants on their way to waterholes, giraffes nibbling on treetops, and predators becoming active. As dusk settles, return to your accommodation for a warm dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African night.

Wake early to the calls of the wild and enjoy a light breakfast or tea before setting off on a morning game drive. Early hours offer the best chance to see lions returning from their nightly patrols, antelope grazing in the cool air, and flocks of birds in full activity.
